As you experienced by yourself travel is much harder as a lymphie.
Destinations shouldn’t be too hot or too far.

SOUTH WALES – JUNE 2017
This year we went to South-Wales. It is not too far from Belgium. The connection with the ferry from Dunkirk is much cheaper than from Calais to Dover.
From Dover it is around 550km till you reach the Black Mountain area which is part of the Brecon Becons national park http://www.breconbeacons.org/
We rented via AIRBNB a lovely cottage (self catering) high in the mountains http://www.rhiwddu.com/ Directly behind our house some hiking path started which made it very easy to walk with the dog.
Further we visited the mountain Llyn Y Fan from where you have fantastic views. It is an easy walking tour through the beautiful nature.
You can not visit Great Britain without visiting a castle. I loved the settings of the National Trust because the houses are so well decorated, very helpful volunteers are answering all your questions and you can really touch history. It is great for the kids too as they can dress up in period costumes (adults of course as well 🙂
The town which left a remarkable impression in our minds is Hay on Wye http://www.hay-on-wye.co.uk/ This tiny town has more than 30 bookshops, excellent restaurants and very nice & refreshing shops. I guess this is a must-GO for everyone who loves books, art & decoration.
Despite all wrong information, the food was excellent (check tripadvisor). We never were disappointed in our choices. The weather was very nice, same as in Belgium but we were prepared for all sorts of weather and didn’t expect much and were rewarded with lots of sunshine.
